Booking Arrangements
If you would like to book Avonglen, please contact us. We require £100 to reserve the property ("The Security Fee").Payment
Is accepted by cash, credit card (3.75% additional charge), cheque, internet banking, or travellers cheque in sterling. If you would like to book, further details regarding payment arrangements will be sent to you by e-mail or post.The full rental amount requires to be paid no later than 8 weeks prior to the let, unless it is a last minute booking whereupon the full sum will be required upon reservation. No reminder will be sent. If the full rental is not received the property will be re-let.
The Security Fee
The Security Fee is in addition to the amount of rent required and will be returned to you, no later than fourteen days following the termination of the let providing the property is left in relatively the same condition as it was found and the conditions below are satisfied.In the event of breakages a charge may be made equal to the cost of a replacement or repair. Any missing items will be charged at the cost of replacement.
What's included
The rental price includes electricity, gas, bed linen and towels (1 bath towel and 1 hand towel per person). Guests may also help themselves to tea, coffee, spices and condiments. Avonglen has a coal fire for guests use between 1 November and 31 March. Supplies of kindling, coal and firelighters can be obtained from Avonglen at a cost of £7.50 per bag/part bag of coal used . (No charge for kindling or firelighters).Liquid Propane Gas provided at no charge for use with the BBQ and mountain bikes are also available for hire. We offer complimentary wireless internet access through your own laptop.
Period of Let
The property is available from Saturday to Saturday.Entry strictly 4.00pm and departure is by 10am.
Rental Conditions
- The property is equipped for 6 persons.
- It is not permitted to sub-let any of the rooms.
- No persons under 21 will be permitted to occupy or rent the property unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
- The property is non-smoking.
- Check-out is no later than 10am.
- The property requires to be left in a reasonable state of cleanliness. In particular, the kitchen should be left in good order ensuring that the cooker, oven and grill are left clean and ready for use by incoming guests and that all dishes and utensils are washed before you leave.
- The Dishwasher should be empty and ready for use by the next guests.
- No rubbish should be left in the property and all floors should be relatively clean.
- Failure to comply with the above term will result in an excess cleaning charge being applied at a level to be determined by the owner.
- If the coal fire has been used, but not cleaned out and re-set, ready for use by the next guests, then a cleaning charge of £10 will be applied.
- If the BBQ has been used but not adequately cleaned an excess cleaning charge of £15 will be applied.
- If any of the conditions of let are not satisfied the owner reserves the right to withhold the Security Fee.
